Samsung has announced pre-order perks for the Galaxy S26 seriesIn the UK and other parts of Europe this includes the ability to double your storage for freeHowever, this particular perk isn’t currently listed in the US or Australia<\/p>\n

Rising memory prices are a real worry for this year\u2019s smartphones, as it\u2019s expected that costs will climb, and in turn, there was some doubt over whether Samsung<\/a> would offer its usual pre-order perk of double storage. But we now know that the company will \u2014 at least in some regions, and with some caveats.<\/p>\n

The company now lets you register your interest in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series, and if you\u2019re in the UK (or many other parts of Europe) the registration page<\/a> mentions that you can get 512GB of storage for the price of 256GB if you pre-order, along with a \u00a330 voucher and the chance to win a \u00a3500 voucher.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t mention a specific model for the storage upgrade, so presumably this applies to the Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. And since there\u2019s no mention of doubling 128GB to 256GB, that suggests the Samsung Galaxy S26 will ditch its predecessor\u2019s 128GB capacity and start at 256GB, as has been rumored.<\/p>\n

However, despite the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra almost certainly topping out at 1TB, there\u2019s also no mention of being able to double your storage from 512GB to 1TB, so you might not be able to do that.<\/p>\n

The bigger concern though is that so far the US and Australian registration pages make no mention of this perk. In the US<\/a> for example, the page says you can get a $30 Samsung credit, up to $900 of additional savings if you trade in a device, and a chance to win $5,000. In Australia<\/a>, you\u2019ll get an AU$50 voucher and the chance to win one of 26 \u201cGalaxy prizes\u201d.<\/p>\n

So it might be that Samsung won\u2019t offer double storage in every region this year, or perhaps it\u2019s just yet to announce this perk for some regions.<\/p>\n

Hopefully it\u2019s the latter, because while prices aren’t yet confirmed these are sure to be expensive phones. But the company doesn\u2019t have long to announce this perk elsewhere, as the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is being announced on February 25<\/a> \u2014 so in roughly a week at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
