During his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash commented on the work of Je\u2019Von Evans in WWE while discussing Je\u2019Von\u2019s OG cutter. Nash stated that \u201che\u2019s a little bit too Mr. Bojangles for me, I wish he was a little bit more urban<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Nash received criticism from fans on social media<\/a>, he issued the following public apology via Twitter\/X\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cHow often have you heard the term Uncle Tom? Most likely, it was used in a degrading way. If you\u2019ve actually read the literature, Uncle Tom was whipped to death for helping free two female slaves. I apologize for the use of the term Mr. Bogangles, it was in poor taste and obviously offensive. I just see talent being pushed in a direction that I disagree with. He should be the male version of Sol Ruca. More contemporary than urban. It\u2019s funny how I\u2019m usually the only person who pays attention to the development of black talent.\u201d<\/p>\n
