Sharon Horgan has revealed her romance with a younger Bad Sisters co-star and gave her take on their nearly 10-year age gap.<\/p>\n

The 55-year-old Irish actress opened up about having a \u201cyounger partner\u201d on Modern Family alum Jesse Tyler Ferguson\u2019s podcast Dinner\u2019s on Me<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Daily Mail<\/a> has named Horgan\u2019s new flame as Barry Ward, her co-star in Bad Sisters and the comedy-drama Dating Amber. Buzz about a possible romance between them began in March.<\/p>\n

Horgan told Ferguson she initially \u201cgot off on\u201d the age difference and would round the nine-year gap up, before it eventually \u201cfreaked me out.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI think initially I was like, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s exotic being 10 years older,\u201d she said. \u201cI sort of got off on it, and then I was like, \u2018Oh, no, that\u2019s not good.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The relationship, Horgan said, \u201cwas unexpected\u201d after moving into single life following her 2019 divorce from Jeremy Rainbird, her husband of 14 years and the father of her two daughters. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s different when you\u2019re my age,\u201d she said. \u201cBeing single again at my age is kind of a whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The creator and star of Bad Sisters said she first met Ward, 44, in 2019 while filming Dating Amber, a comedy in which the two played a married couple. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe met years ago doing a film together, and then, you know, became friendly,\u201d Sharon said. \u201cAnd then a good few years later\u2014this wasn\u2019t on purpose by the way\u2014I cast him in Bad Sisters. Honestly, it wasn\u2019t on purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

In between, Horgan also dated The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, beginning in 2022, before they split earlier this year, according to the Mail.<\/p>\n

On Bad Sisters, Horgan plays Eva, the eldest sister of the Garvey family caught in a murder plot. Ward plays Detective Inspector Fergal Loftus, who gets romantically involved with one of Horgan\u2019s on-screen sisters. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Rumors of an off-screen relationship between Horgan and Ward began swirling a few months after season two of Bad Sisters premiered in the U.S.<\/p>\n

It was reported<\/a> that she visited him in March on the set of Trespasses, his new drama series starring Gillian Anderson. <\/p>\n

Horgan gushed about their bond in her appearance on Ferguson\u2019s podcast. <\/p>\n
