Photo: Brampton Fire and Emergency Services<\/p>\n<p>Fire crews battled two different residential fires on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The first fire broke out around 4:40 a.m. at home on Saddlecreek Court near Highway 407 and McLaughlin Road South, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.<\/p>\n<p>The home and neighbouring houses were evacuated, police said. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, police told news outlets the fire was being investigated as a possible arson, but it appears that is no longer the case.<\/p>\n<p>The second fire broke out at a large luxury home at 10 Merrydale Court.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1152\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-792835\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/10-merrydale-court-brampton-fire.jpg\" alt=\"10 merrydale court brampton fire\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"vidyard-player-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1771439772_908_awZCW3rPmWvxPqZHnBCKLu.jpg\" data-videoid=\"790139\" data-uuid=\"awZCW3rPmWvxPqZHnBCKLu\" data-v=\"4\" data-type=\"inline\" data-muted=\"1\" style=\"width:100%\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p>        <img width=\"1024\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-30-at-1.55.02-PM-1024x513.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\"  decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>      <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com emergency crews responded at approximately 7:09 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said the fire had been extinguished and primary and secondary searches were completed as of 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported, and no one was inside the residence at the time of the fire, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Photos from the scene show extensive damage to the home.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1422\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-792834\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/10-merrydale-court-brampton-fire-2.jpg\" alt=\"10 merrydale court brampton fire\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>There was no access to Merrydale Court on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The gated estate home sold for $5 million in May 2023, and was listed for sale this January for $3,299,000, according to HouseSigma data.
