Mookie Betts is moving.<\/p>\n

Not far, but the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> plan to hit Betts in a different spot in their batting lineup this season after the high-profile signing of Kyle Tucker in free agency.<\/p>\n

An already impressive batting order got even more potent.<\/p>\n

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts<\/a> spoke about the probable change on Wednesday, telling reporters that Betts would probably hit third.<\/p>\n

That leaves his former 2-spot for Tucker.<\/p>\n

Shohei Ohtani<\/a> will continue to lead off.<\/p>\n

Roberts could move these guys around in all kinds of orders and it could still work.<\/p>\n

Betts is coming off an unusually down offensive season for him (.732 OPS), but he’s planning to be better this year, and Roberts believes he can be good enough to put himself in the MVP conversation.<\/p>\n
