The Strategy sets a clear direction for how Mississauga will support business investment, job growth, and prosperity, focusing on the conditions businesses, entrepreneurs, and workers need to succeed.<\/p>\n<p>Path to Prosperity 2030 includes five pillars, supported by 15 objectives and 51 actions:<\/p>\n<p>Build a competitive and business-friendly environment<br \/>\nStrengthen economic diversification and agility<br \/>\nAccelerate innovation and sector-led growth<br \/>\nInvest in future-ready talent<br \/>\nFoster and promote vibrant communities<\/p>\n<p>The Strategy arrives at a time of significant global change. Businesses and workers are navigating geopolitical instability, shifting trade patterns, the emergence of artificial intelligence, and climate pressures. Informed by extensive stakeholder consultations \u2013 including more than 200 voices from local businesses, entrepreneurs, education institutions, and community organizations \u2013 the Strategy outlines practical actions to help businesses, entrepreneurs, and workers respond to challenges and opportunities, while also strengthening Mississauga\u2019s ability to attract talent and encourage investment.<\/p>\n<p>Path to Prosperity 2030 builds on previous strategies and achievements, which expanded business investment promotion to markets in the U.S., Europe and East Asia; opened <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ideamississauga.ca\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IDEA Square One<\/a> in 2023 \u2013 a space dedicated to supporting small business, entrepreneurship, and early-stage company growth; launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investmississauga.ca\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Invest Mississauga<\/a> brand in 2024; developed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investmississauga.ca\/partnersintrade\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Partners in Trade<\/a> plan to help residents and businesses respond to disruptions from U.S. tariffs; and introduced programs and services to support growth within life sciences, technology, creative industries, and advanced manufacturing sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The Strategy also incorporates recommendations from the City\u2019s recently approved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investmississauga.ca\/retail-strategy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Retail Strategy<\/a> to encourage a healthy and diverse retail sector. Path to Prosperity 2030 advances both retail and creative industry growth as part of building vibrant experiences and communities, strengthening Mississauga\u2019s ability to attract talent and investment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe world is changing fast, demanding bold action and fresh thinking. Path to Prosperity 2030 is our commitment to an inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous future \u2013 investing in businesses, entrepreneurs, youth, and workers, while creating thriving communities where commerce and culture flourish together.
