{"id":486258,"date":"2026-02-19T22:22:15","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T22:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/486258\/"},"modified":"2026-02-19T22:22:15","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T22:22:15","slug":"prince-william-on-mental-health-suicide-prevention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/486258\/","title":{"rendered":"Prince William on mental health, suicide prevention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Prince William opened up Wednesday about his mental health strategies, the heir to the throne revealing he takes \u201ca long time trying to understand my emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Joining a panel discussion on the BBC\u2019s youth-focused Radio 1 station, William called for \u201cmore male role models\u201d to help normalize mental health discussions, noting it was vital to \u201cbe kind to yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 43-year-old prince and his wife, Catherine, have long made mental health support one of their signature causes, with their philanthropic foundation last year launching a new national suicide prevention network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI take a long time trying to understand my emotions and why I feel like I do and I feel like that\u2019s a really important process to do every now and again,\u201d William said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe need more male role models out there talking about it and normalizing it so that it becomes something that is second nature to all of us,\u201d he added during the discussion.
