Grok\u2019s NSFW credentials now extend to xAI\u2019s new image and video generator. Grok Imagine is exclusive to paying SuperGrok and Premium+ X subscribers and, as reported by <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/08\/04\/grok-imagine-xais-new-ai-image-and-video-generator-lets-you-make-nsfw-content\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:TechCrunch;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">TechCrunch<\/a>, has a baked-in text-to-image and video feature with a number of modes that dictate its results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 engadget-charcoal\">As you might expect, submitting prompts to Grok Imagine while in the embarrassingly named &#8220;Spicy&#8221; mode results in sexualized content in the form of images or short clips. TechCrunch was <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/08\/04\/grok-imagine-xais-new-ai-image-and-video-generator-lets-you-make-nsfw-content\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:able to test;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">able to test<\/a> the feature and said that while some of its requests came back blurred out or moderated, it was able to generate &#8220;semi-nude imagery&#8221; without resistance from the ever-obliging bot. Images reportedly only take a few seconds to produce and more are auto-generated as you scroll through the results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 engadget-charcoal\">Grok Imagine can also generate content featuring celebrities, but there appears to be additional restrictions in place for this. TechCrunch was unable to prompt it to produce an image of a pregnant Donald Trump, for example, with the chatbot instead generating an image of Trump standing next to a pregnant woman, or holding a baby.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 engadget-charcoal\">Elon Musk is unsurprisingly very enthusiastic about his company\u2019s latest toy, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:6;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1952636922477572324\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:claiming on X;cpos:6;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">claiming on X<\/a> that the number of images generated using Grok Imagine grew from 14 million to 20 million in the space of a day. He has also talked up its potential as a <a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1951974374984364206\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:meme motherload;cpos:7;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">meme motherload<\/a> and promised its existing capabilities will &#8220;improve radically&#8221; over time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Elon Musk\u2019s chatbot is seldom out of the news.
