Taylor Halfyard, spokesperson for Peel Regional Police said. Officers were called to the scene at about 5:50 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The woman was crossing eastbound at the intersection. The cube van driver, travelling east on Queen Street, was making a right turn on McLaughlin Road when he struck her, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Peel paramedics took the woman to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. <\/p>\n<p>Police stopped the cube van driver down the road at McLaughlin Road and Charolais Boulevard, Halfyard said.
