First of all, I want to send my deepest condolences and prayers to parents, other family members, teachers, administrators, staff at this school. It\u2019s a very tragic and heartbreaking situation.<\/p>\n
I can\u2019t imagine the heartbroken parents of these innocent children that were killed. Students should feel safe attending their schools. Parents and their guardians trust that their kids will be safe.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a very different world that we live in today, unfortunately. Kids nowadays watch a lot of violent shows and violent video games. It\u2019s unfortunate. Parents need to be on top of what their children are doing, who their children\u2019s friends are, pay attention to their electronic devices, cellphones, video games, iPads.<\/p>\n
I think what needs to happen is all schools need to lock the front and back doors of the school while students are there, and visitors and parents have to press a door bell to be allowed in, and also have surveillance cameras posted on the front of the school.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s sad that it has to come this far to protect our kids, teachers and all staff. But that\u2019s the sad world we are living in and we have to adjust to it.<\/p>\n
We are proud parents of our only daughter. Thankfully, she never faced any of these dangers in both of her schools, elementary and high school.<\/p>\n
