The Cleveland Charge just got a lot more intriguing.<\/p>\n
That’s the G League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>, and they pulled off a fun trade on Friday.<\/p>\n The deal brings Victor Oladipo to the Charge from the Wisconsin Herd, where he has spent the entire G League season to this point.<\/p>\n Oladipo made two All-Star teams in the NBA before injury troubles upended his career.<\/p>\n The formerly high-flying Oladipo last played in the 2022-23 NBA season, when he tore his left patellar tendon while playing for the\u00a0Heat<\/a>\u00a0in the playoffs.<\/p>\n He had starred prior to that with the\u00a0Indiana Pacers<\/a>.<\/p>\n The one-time Indiana Hoosiers great was chosen No. 2 overall in 2013.\u00a0<\/p>\n His All-NBA 2017-18 season was followed by multiple knee injuries the following year, and his career since then has been bumpy.<\/p>\n Oladipo has played 15 games in the G League this season for the Herd (the affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>).<\/p>\n In that action, he has averaged 29.9 minutes per game with averages of 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.1 steals.<\/p>\n The negative has been in Oladipo’s efficiency: He has shot just 38.9% from the floor and 32.9% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n He may not have a path back to the NBA, but fans in Cleveland who want to see Oladipo can go check out a Charge game.<\/p>\n
