{"id":488285,"date":"2026-02-20T19:27:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T19:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/488285\/"},"modified":"2026-02-20T19:27:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T19:27:07","slug":"suspect-sought-in-aggravated-assault-investigation-tps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/488285\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect sought in aggravated assault investigation: TPS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police are searching for a suspect wanted in an aggravated assault investigation in East York. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The alleged assault occurred outside an establishment in the area of Danforth and Glebemount avenues on Feb. 17 at around 11:30 p.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say a victim was approached by the suspect inside a business in the area and a verbal argument ensued. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The victim, police say, went outside and was followed by the suspect, who assaulted the victim. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65255\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65255\/\">According to investigators<\/a>, the victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspect, police allege, fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He has been described by police as between 35 and 40 years old, six feet tall, 160 lbs., and has short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeve shirt, a black jacket with fur on the hood, dark blue jeans, dark-coloured boots, and a green Under Armour toque, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators also note that he may go by the name Russell. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Images of the suspect have now been released and police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 416-808-5500.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Toronto police are searching for a suspect wanted in an aggravated assault investigation in East York.
