Newly released dashcam footage (scroll down to watch), originally recorded by the Connecticut State Police and obtained by the US Sun<\/a>, provides a first look at the high-speed collision involving former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in July 2025. The video documents McMahon\u2019s $300,000 Bentley Continental GT Speed swerving through highway traffic at speeds exceeding 100 mph before rear-ending another vehicle.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred on the morning of July 24, 2025, while McMahon was traveling northbound on Route 15 (the Merritt Parkway) in Westport, Connecticut. The footage captures the moments McMahon\u2019s luxury sedan collided with a BMW driven by Barbara Doran, sending debris across the roadway and causing the Bentley to strike a guardrail.<\/p>\n

Upon approaching the mangled vehicle\u2014which had smoke billowing from the engine and deployed airbags\u2014a state trooper confronted the 80-year-old executive about his speed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to catch up to you and you keep taking off. You almost hit I think 115 miles an hour,\u201d the trooper told McMahon.<\/p>\n

McMahon, who appeared dazed and refused medical attention at the scene, informed the officer he was en route to visit his granddaughter for her birthday. He attributed the incident to his lack of familiarity with the vehicle, stating, \u201cI\u2019m trying to drive. I haven\u2019t been driving my car in God knows how long\u201d. During the interaction, McMahon was recorded scolding himself, exclaiming, \u201cGod damn it. Stupid f**king fool\u201d.<\/p>\n

The driver of the BMW, Barbara Doran, later shared her account of the wreck in a social media post, describing the experience as \u201ccatapulting\u201d her car over 100 yards.<\/p>\n

\u201cMcMahon hit me going 80-90 mph as I drove in the right lane of the narrow Merritt Highway,\u201d Doran wrote. She noted the gravity of the situation, adding, \u201cMcMahon saw me last minute and swerved, smashing into my left rear, but that if he had hit me full on, there might\u2019ve been a very different ending for me\u201d.<\/p>\n

Doran also pointed out a notable coincidence regarding the timing of the accident: \u201cOddly, Hulk Hogan, who made McMahon\u2019s fame and fortune, died about the same time as the accident\u201d.<\/p>\n

Following the investigation, McMahon was charged with reckless driving and following too closely. In October 2025, a judge allowed McMahon to enter a pretrial program. Under the terms of the agreement, McMahon was required to make a $1,000 charitable contribution and must remain properly licensed and insured for one year to have the charges officially dismissed.<\/p>\n

McMahon\u2019s attorney, Mark Sherman, expressed satisfaction with the ruling. \u201cIt was good news. Not every car accident is a crime and the judge agreed he deserved this dismissal and we\u2019re grateful for that,\u201d Sherman stated. Click here<\/a> to see the video.<\/p>\n
