Environment Canada notes in a special weather statement that reduced visibility is possible with the heavy snow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow,\u201d it reads.<\/p>\n<p>School buses in the nation\u2019s capital were not cancelled on Feb. 20, but buses outside the city by Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario did not run.<\/p>\n<p>Police are pleading with people to avoid travel if possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/OttawaPolice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Snow is expected to begin soon<\/a>.
