The NASCAR Cup Series<\/a> survived Mother Nature in Daytona last weekend, but they haven\u2019t been as lucky in Atlanta<\/a> this weekend. On Saturday, inclement weather forced qualifying to be cancelled<\/a>, so Tyler Reddick<\/a> will start on the pole<\/a> for Sunday\u2019s race, due to the current rules for setting the starting grid.<\/p>\n

When they take the green flag, Christopher Bell<\/a> will be one of the favorites, after he\u00a0won the spring race last season at the track. Meanwhile,\u00a0Chase Elliott<\/a>\u00a0was victorious in the summer of 2025. Atlanta\u2019s become one of the more unpredictable tracks on the schedule, though, so we can throw away all of the history when heading to this venue.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Predictions are rolling in, but according to\u00a0Kevin Harvick<\/a>, the next winner might not be the obvious superspeedway favorite. On the latest episode of\u00a0Kevin Harvick\u2019s Happy Hour<\/a>, the former Cup champion made his pick for the weekend, backing\u00a0Kyle Larson<\/a>\u00a0to take the checkered flag in Georgia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harvick\u2019s co-hosts went in different directions, with\u00a0Kaitlyn Vincie\u00a0selecting\u00a0Joey Logano<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Mamba Smith\u00a0rolling with\u00a0Austin Dillon<\/a>, highlighting just how unpredictable the reconfigured Atlanta has become.<\/p>\n

Hovering over all of it is the Daytona winner\u00a0in Reddick, who could attempt to start the season two-for-two for 23XI Racing. That would be a heck of a beginning to the year.<\/p>\n

All told, Atlanta rarely follows expectations, and that\u2019s exactly why Harvick\u2019s Larson pick carries some weight.
