The Sooners’ 2025 home matches at the Headington Family Tennis Center are open to the public and free of charge. Oklahoma follows a clear bag policy. Fans can follow the action through live stats<\/a> or by watching on PlaySight<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sunday’s doubleheader will serve as Military Appreciation Day. All military personnel will receive a free OU-branded challenge coin upon entry. A Touch-a-Truck event featuring the Norman Fire and Police Departments will be held outside of Headington Family Tennis Center. Fans are encouraged to stop by to see the vehicles and meet local first responders between matches. Free crimson poms and rally towels will also be available while supplies last.<\/p>\n LAST TIME OUT<\/p>\n Oklahoma had last weekend off following its appearance at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Illinois. The Sooners went 1-2 in a 16-team field featuring the nation’s top programs. OU opened the tournament with a 4-3 victory over No. 18 Texas before falling to No. 2 Texas A&M, 4-2, and No. 3 North Carolina, 4-1.<\/p>\n SOONERS IN THE RANKINGS<\/p>\n The Sooners check in at No. 7 nationally in the latest team rankings.<\/p>\n Individually, Julia Garcia Ruiz<\/a> is ranked No. 18 in singles. In doubles, Oklahoma features five ranked pairs: Gloriana Nahum<\/a> and Roisin Gilheany<\/a> at No. 1, Garcia Ruiz and Oyinlomo Quadre<\/a> at No. 32, freshmen Evialina Laskevich<\/a> and Edda Mamedova<\/a> at No. 44, Laura Brunkel<\/a> and Quadre at No. 63, and the duo of Chlo\u00e9 No\u00ebl and Nahum at No. 67.<\/p>\n PLAYER TO WATCH<\/p>\n Freshman Edda Mamedova<\/a> has emerged as a key contributor in the singles lineup, posting a 6-2 record this spring while primarily competing at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. Her six singles victories lead the team. Mamedova also made a statement in doubles at the ITA National Indoor Championships, teaming up with fellow freshman Evialina Laskevich<\/a> to earn a 7-6 (3) win over No. 5-ranked Oby Kajuru and Susanna Maltby of North Carolina.<\/p>\n UP NEXT<\/p>\n Following Sunday’s doubleheader, Oklahoma will host No. 13 Auburn in a key SEC matchup on Thursday, Feb. 26, before traveling to Gainesville, Fla., to face Florida on Feb. 28.
