Brothers of the Fork<\/a>,\u00a0a local philanthropic cycling group that has quietly conducted street outreach since 2011.<\/p>\n“Thanks to their $20,000 donation, Thrive will be able to purchase a new van and make much-needed upgrades to their building, directly improving their capacity to serve the community,” said City Councillor for St. Norbert \u2013 Seine Rive, Markus Chambers.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Chambers also donated two laptops, along with clothing and blankets to help keep Winnipeggers warm and connected this season.<\/p>\n
“We are sending a huge thank you and congratulations to Thrive Community Support Circle for the incredible work they do day in and day out supporting vulnerable people in Winnipeg,” said Chambers. “Your dedication to lifting up our neighbours is what makes our city stronger. Together, we thrive.”<\/p>\n
In 2025, Thrive connected with 6,000 unique individuals and facilitated more than 50,000 service interactions. Each year, more than 20,000 people receive one-on-one counselling, trauma-informed wellness programs, advocacy, and resources that promote mental health, family well-being, and social connection.<\/p>\n
