{"id":490654,"date":"2026-02-21T20:43:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-21T20:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/490654\/"},"modified":"2026-02-21T20:43:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-21T20:43:07","slug":"peel-region-man-charged-with-sexual-assault-in-toronto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/490654\/","title":{"rendered":"Peel Region man charged with sexual assault in Toronto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 51-year-old man from Peel Region is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at her Toronto workplace multiple times for more than two years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65266\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65266\/\">Toronto police said<\/a> they were called to the area of Leslie Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West on the afternoon of Feb. 10 for a sexual assault.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Officers later learned that the alleged sexual assaults occurred between Aug. 1, 2022, and Dec. 31, 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">As a result of their investigation, police arrested Mohammed Shaik on Saturday.
