\n Korda makes Delray Beach final: ‘That’s where you want to be’<\/p>\n

Sebastian Korda<\/a> reached his first ATP Tour final in more than a year on Saturday when he defeated third seed Flavio Cobolli<\/a> 7-6(1), 6-1 in the semi-finals of the Delray Beach Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it was a great match. I think I served pretty well. I didn’t have too many pressure situations on my serve, and that opens up the returns,\u201d Korda said. \u201cI think I played a great tie-breaker, and then after that, I just started feeling the ball a little bit better, returning a little better and put some pressure on him.\u201d<\/p>\n Korda hit 12 aces and won 82 per cent of his second-serve points to avoid trouble against the Italian. He did not face a break point in the 76-minute clash.<\/p>\n The Delray Beach ATP 250 event has always been a happy hunting ground for Korda, who now owns a 10-2 record at the tournament according to the Infosys ATP Win\/Loss Index. The American also made the final in 2021, when he lost to Hubert Hurkacz<\/a> with the trophy on the line.<\/p>\n Korda will try to go one step further against fourth seed Learner Tien<\/a> or fifth seed Tommy Paul<\/a> on Sunday.
