<\/p>\n IRVINE, Calif. \u2013 The women’s tennis program finished out a two-game swing in southern California with a 6-1 defeat to UC Irvine Saturday morning.<\/p>\n Junior Milena Maiorova<\/a> was Pacific’s (0-8) lone point scorer in the match, comfortably defeating her opponent in straight sets to cap a weekend in which she went 2-0 on singles court one.<\/p>\n Fellow juniors Indiya McLeod<\/a> and Nahreen Cheam<\/a> both pushed their opponents to third sets on courts two and five but were unable to secure points.<\/p>\n Defeats on doubles courts one and three put the Anteaters (4-4) out in front early and proved too much for Pacific to overcome.<\/p>\n Following the short detour away from Stockton, the team returns to the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center for the next four matches \u2013 beginning with a double header against Dominican and Jessup on Wednesday and continuing with CSUN on Sunday.<\/p>\n All three matches will be streamed on Track Tennis.<\/p>\n Stay Social
