Jonathan Lekkerim\u00e4ki season-ending shoulder surgery news hits the Vancouver Canucks hard, because this was supposed to be the \u201clook at the kid\u201d stretch run.<\/p>\n

The report has Lekkerim\u00e4ki heading for shoulder surgery, and that means no more games in 2025-26.<\/p>\n

He is not just a prospect name on a depth chart, he is the right-shot trigger the organization has been trying to grow in-house.<\/p>\n

Lekkerim\u00e4ki is 21, drafted in 2022, Round 1, 15th overall by the Vancouver Canucks, and the whole point this season was getting him closer to full-time NHL minutes.<\/p>\n
