The Galaxy S22 has been hit by new bootloop issues<\/a>. Users report that the problems have surfaced after the recent February update<\/a>, and it affects S22 models severely. The S22 series is currently on a quarterly-patch cycle, and this is an update that users received after around 3 months. Many people report problems with the battery as well.<\/p>\n

S22 users report endless restart cycles<\/a>, making it impossible to use the phone after the software update. During the bootloop, the device gets stuck at the Samsung Logo screen, and some users are unable to reach the lock screen to unlock the device.<\/p>\n

Others are able to get the phone to work, but it randomly restarts and freezes constantly<\/a>. A few users report that updating OneUI Home may fix it<\/a>, and it did automatically fix itself for a few lucky users<\/a>. If there are local repair shops that you trust, replacing the battery could solve the problem.<\/p>\n

Recently faced an issue with @SamsungIndia<\/a> @SamsungMobile<\/a> S22 5g, i updated the software on 3rd Feb and due to it it caused my device to restart continuously\/boot loop and it crashed my motherboard.

People have tried several workarounds to solve this, including a force restart (which can be performed by holding the volume down and power buttons together for a few seconds). Alternatively, you can try wiping the cache partition in recovery mode, which could help. If you\u2019re in the know, you can try using Odin to re-flash the firmware<\/a>, but this is only for power users who are aware of the risks.<\/p>\n

We aren\u2019t sure about what causes the issue. But it could be triggered by hardware component stress, since some bootlooping reports are tied to overheating<\/a>. This damages connections on the motherboard, and some experts link the problem to solder joint weaknesses in some devices.<\/a><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time the S22 series has been a victim of bootloop issues. Back in 2024, the One UI 6.1.1 update caused similar problems<\/a>. The pattern was similar, involving comparable restart issues. Samsung temporarily halted that rollout to fix the issue, and there were reports of motherboard failures<\/a> back then as well.<\/p>\n

However, affected users didn\u2019t let this slide. As we reported a couple of days ago, Samsung is currently facing a lawsuit in the US<\/a> from users who were left with a paperweight after their devices were rendered useless following the One UI 6.1.1 release.<\/p>\n
