Eco-friendly North Vancouver cafe Nomad is preparing to expand with not one, but three new locations by 2027.<\/p>\n
Nomad, founded by Annette Kim, is best known for not using single-use cups in its stores. Instead, customers are encouraged to bring their own cup, enjoy their drink on-site in a ceramic mug, or buy or rent a reusable cup.<\/p>\n
As for its expansion, the first of its three planned locations to open will be its Vancouver location in Kitsilano<\/a>. This will mark the brand\u2019s first expansion into the city.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is your reminder that Nomad Kitsilano is coming soon,\u201d shared the cafe on Instagram. \u201cThe soft opening is just around the corner, and the grand opening will be even more special with lots of surprises prepared for our dearest community.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the Kitsilano location, which is expected to open its doors \u201csoon,\u201d the eco-friendly cafe is preparing to open another location in the soon-to-be-built Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe City of North Vancouver is pleased to welcome Nomad Coffee as the cafe operator in the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre,\u201d said City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan in a press release from September 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cAs a well-loved local business, Nomad Coffee will offer more than just food and beverages\u2014it will create a vibrant, inclusive space where community connections are fostered and lasting memories are made. The cafe will enhance the overall visitor experience, provide local job opportunities and champion environmentally responsible practices that they are known for, which reflect the sustainable design embedded in this state-of-the-art facility.\u201d<\/p>\n The recreation centre will be the home of Nomad\u2019s second location in North Vancouver, as well as other amenities, including an NHL-sized arena, an aquatic centre, a community kitchen, multi-use sports courts, various informal gathering areas, and more.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are incredibly excited to bring Nomad\u2019s sustainability practices to the Harry Jerome. An exact opening date for the Harry Jerome building has yet to be announced, but construction is expected to be finished this spring.<\/p>\n If that wasn\u2019t enough excitement, on its\u00a0website<\/a>, Nomad has teased a third new location, also coming to North Vancouver, called \u201cNomad Lab.\u201d<\/p>\n Not much is known about the new location, but it includes the address 1350 Pemberton Ave. in North Vancouver, and an estimated opening date of 2027.<\/p>\n Which location are you the most excited for?
