Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah<\/a> has finally sold his luxury home on a private estate after slashing the asking price by \u00a31.25 million.<\/p>\n

Four-times Olympic gold medal winner Sir Mo put his eight-bedroom home on the market for \u00a36 million more than a year ago, but it’s just been sold for \u00a34.75 million to the soccer agent brother of ex Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sir Mo and wife Tania bought the property for \u00a34 million in 2019, but hoped to make \u00a32 million profit when they sold.<\/p>\n

Land Registry documents show that they eventually settled on the cut price sale just before Christmas<\/a>, but still made \u00a3750,000 on the deal.<\/p>\n

Tyler and Olivia Alexander-Arnold bought the mansion on a private estate in Surrey and have already applied to make some changes.<\/p>\n

The three-storey house comes equipped with an outdoor pool, games room, staff annexe, seven bathrooms, and a media room.<\/p>\n

It backs onto a private championship-standard golf course which is part of the 900 acre estate that also has a separate private tennis and squash club.<\/p>\n

Residents can enjoy a range of sports on the nearby River Thames including kayaking, rowing; sailing and wild water swimming while the area has ‘many clubs’ for children and adults to enjoy rugby, football and horse riding as well as dance and creative arts.<\/p>\n

Glossy photographs also show Sir Mo turned a ground floor ‘garden room’ into an entertainment space complete with pool table – as well as a running machine.<\/p>\n

The ground floor of the property, which is ‘finished to excellent standards’ with modern fittings, has ‘an impressive reception hall with a beautiful sweeping staircase’ along with a series of rooms complete with ‘bespoke furniture’.<\/p>\n

They include a study and an ‘elegant drawing room, with two grand pillars’ which leads to the dining room – with both having double doors opening out to the rear gardens.<\/p>\n

The upmarket estate agents told prospective buyers: ‘The true heart of this home is the open plan kitchen\/breakfast room which leads to the double height garden room with floor to ceiling windows flooding the rooms with light.<\/p>\n

‘This is a fabulous space to entertain family and friends. Leading off the kitchen\/breakfast room is the family room.’<\/p>\n

The sweeping staircase leads to ‘the first floor’s ‘ impressive main bedroom suite with a bespoke fitted dressing room and balcony overlooking the rear garden’ while there are three further bedroom suites on this floor, two with walk-in wardrobes.<\/p>\n

The second floor comprises an additional bedroom suite, further bedroom, media room, separate storage room and a family bathroom – one of seven in the property.<\/p>\n

The mansion also has a second entrance hall where the utility and separate changing room are situated along with stairs that lead up a one bedroom annexe which is ‘ideal as staff accommodation’.<\/p>\n

To ensure privacy and safety the gated estate is controlled 24 hours a day by private security guards while access is restricted at all times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was sold by an upmarket estate agent, who’s brochure said: ‘The is is a fabulous place to entertain family and friends.’<\/p>\n

But Tyler has also applied to the local council (Elmbridge) with a document saying: ‘The owners wish to alter the external appearance of the house to achieve a more classical yet contemporary style.’<\/p>\n

The couple want to add a new porch, new doors and windows throughout, and add fashionable ‘ashlar’ and ‘natural’ stone cladding to the outside walls of the home.<\/p>\n

They also want to put in a new fireplace in the games room complete with a stone-clad chimney.<\/p>\n

Tyler runs PLG sports agency and clients include his brother Trent, who now plays for Real Madrid, his ex team-mate Andy Robertson of Liverpool and West Ham and England’s Jarrod Bowen.<\/p>\n

In January last year,\u00a0Sir Mo was forced to spring into action to chase down two thieves who breached security and tried to steal his mobile phone while he was out jogging with wife Tania on the estate.<\/p>\n

Sir Mo – who won 10,000 and 5,000 metre gold medals at the London Olympics in 2012 and in Rio four years later – had left the device by the roadside before spotting the men in a white van pulling up alongside.<\/p>\n

One of the thieves grabbed the phone before Sir Mo sprinted to head them off.<\/p>\n

He gave chase along the tree-lined roads as his wife looked on and soon caught up with the hapless thieves who handed the phone back before speeding off.<\/p>\n

Sir Mo was said to be furious that the suspects were able to get past the extensive security detail sparking an investigation into what went wrong.<\/p>\n

The exclusive home is a far cry from the modest council house in Hounslow, west London where Sir Mo lived as a child after he was trafficked to the UK from Somalia and forced to work as a domestic servant.<\/p>\n

His father was killed in civil violence when he was just four.<\/p>\n

He was placed with another Somali family after confiding in a PE teacher who helped him make strides in the world of athletics and apply for British citizenship which was granted in July 2000.<\/p>\n
