The Whitecaps need a future home<\/a>, and Surrey Director of Business and Government Relations Tyler Westover said the city is \u201ccertainly open to creative proposals from sports teams in the region and further afield\u201d after proposing sites for a future soccer training center, according to J.J. Adams of the Vancouver PROVINCE. Surrey, part of the metro Vancouver area, proposed several sites to Canada Soccer, which had \u201casked for \u2018expressions of interest\u2019 in building a new National Training Centre.\u201d Adams asked if one of the sites could \u201cinclude a purpose-built soccer stadium, capable of holding 25,000 fans, as part of the larger complex?\u201d The Whitecaps \u201cneed a home<\/a>,\u201d and B.C.
