Hall of Famer Shane Mosley, who suffered a points defeat to Floyd Mayweather in 2010, has predicted a fantasy showdown between his former foe and Terence Crawford.<\/p>\n
The two pound-for-pound legends retired with unbeaten records, having become five-division world champions, and are widely considered to be the greatest of their respective eras.<\/p>\n
Mayweather called time on his glittering career in 2017<\/a>, while Crawford exited the sport after jumping up two weight classes to dethrone super-middleweight king Canelo Alvarez in September<\/a>.<\/p>\n But despite cementing himself as the top dog at 168lbs, many believe that Crawford\u2019s best performances came at 147lbs, where he also became an undisputed champion.<\/p>\n All of his eight welterweight victories, in fact, ended inside the distance, with the most notable of which arriving against Errol Spence Jr in 2023.<\/p>\n Back then, many had anticipated a highly competitive affair to unfold, yet \u2018Bud\u2019 ultimately shocked the world by dishing out a punishing nine-round beatdown.<\/p>\n As for Mayweather, a total of 12 outings at 147lbs saw him claim monumental victories over the likes of Mosley, Manny Pacquiao<\/a>, Zab Judah and Ricky Hatton<\/a>.<\/p>\n Given that the American claimed his first world title at super-featherweight, though, Mosley believes Crawford would boast a significant size advantage and superior all-round skillset.<\/p>\n
