\u201cWhen Speed came to Senegal to wrestle, there were a lot of questions as to whether he could do it. It\u2019s a hard sport to learn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under the watchful eye of the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Champion, Speed was put through the paces of the sabar \u2014 the rhythmic, drum-led dance that precedes the combat \u2014 before hitting the dirt.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, Speed was very fast, and he picked things up quickly. But Senegalese wrestling is really different. It\u2019s not something you can learn quickly. But maybe with six or seven months of training, he can really learn it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut on that particular day, we had fans coming out to see me, we had fans coming out to see Speed, and then we also had the Senegalese football team that just won. It was absolute mayhem in Senegal that day. It was really chaotic, but it was legendary.\u201d<\/p>\n
