An update on their condition<\/a> was not immediately available, according to ABC affiliate WMUR 9.<\/p>\n The border agent was not injured, a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n The identities of the border agent and the person who was shot had not been revealed by Monday night.<\/p>\n RECOMMENDED VIDEO We apologize, but this video has failed to load.<\/p>\n Play VideoSubject allegedly \u2018opened fire\u2019 on agent<\/p>\n The shots were fired near the port of entry on the U.S. side, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott said via The Associated Press. Authorities said the FBI\u2019s Boston field office and the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office in the District of New Hampshire will investigate the shooting.<\/p>\n Advertisement 3<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n \u201cInitial reports indicate that the subject opened fire on the agent, at which time the agent returned fire,\u201d Scott said in a statement, via The Associated Press. \u201cCBP is co-operating fully with investigators.\u201d<\/p>\n The FBI, CBP and U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office did not provide additional details on the suspect or the circumstances that led to the shooting. The U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office said they would release more information if the person ends up being charged.<\/p>\n Pittsburg is about 240 km north of New Hampshire\u2019s capital of Concord and the area borders Maine and Vermont as well.
