The company raised $6.4 million in 2024 in a round led by Luge Capital and was named a Fintech.ca startup to watch in 2025.

Until now, many Canadian businesses have relied on systems that simulate user logins to pull banking data into accounting platforms. Those connections frequently break when financial institutions update their interfaces, creating reconciliation errors, duplicate transactions, and repeated authentication requests.

RELATED: Loop is hiring Senior Developers in Toronto

Loop’s direct API integrations create a persistent, tokenized connection between its platform and accounting software, eliminating the need to share banking credentials and reducing the risk of downtime. While regulatory implementation remains in progress, Loop’s move demonstrates how fintech providers can proactively deliver data portability and interoperability without waiting for mandated standards.

“We treat accounting connectivity as a core product feature, not an afterthought,” Pastoll added. “This is part of our broader mission to remove the administrative friction of running a business.”

The new integrations are available immediately to all Loop customers at no additional cost and can be activated directly within the Loop dashboard.

As Canada continues to debate formal Open Banking rules, Toronto-based Loop has moved ahead with its own infrastructure.…

[4
49,48,23120,199042,44
post-496474","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-canada","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-loop","tag-luge-capital","tag-news
["GET
