\n\tWith over $250 million at the global box office in less than week, \u201cSuperman<\/a>\u201d is widely considered a win for the new DC Universe that James Gunn<\/a> and Peter Safran are spearheading at DC Studios<\/a>. Next up for the franchise is \u201cPeacemaker\u201d Season 2, followed by the \u201cSupergirl\u201d movie and the \u201cLanterns\u201d television series in 2026. Plus there\u2019s \u201cClayface,\u201d which is set to film this year. Gunn recently told\u00a0CBS Mornings<\/a>\u00a0that fans should expect each entry to have its own flavor and tone, just like actual comic books.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2018Clayface\u2019 is a totally different thing. Although it\u2019s in the same universe, it\u2019s a complete horror film, and that\u2019s one of the things we want to do,\u201d Gunn said. \u201cThere\u2019s not a company style. It\u2019s not like every movie is gonna be like \u2018Superman.\u2019 The artists and the directors and the writers that create each one will bring their own sense to it. \u2026 We don\u2019t want people being bored.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGunn\u2019s \u201cSuperman\u201d was notable for its earnestness and brightly-colored world, a huge change of pace from the previous Man of Steel in Zack Snyder\u2019s DC Universe. The director has already said next year\u2019s \u201cSupergirl\u201d will distance itself from \u201cSuperman\u201d by being a full-blown space fantasy. <\/p>\n

\n\tVariety recently reported <\/a>that DC Studios parent company Warner Bros. already has sequel options on David Corenswet, who stars as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane. But a sequel announcement does not appear to be imminent, according to sources, as the studio is fast-tracking a \u201cWonder Woman\u201d movie. There\u2019s also a Batman movie in development that is separate from Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson\u2019s \u201cThe Batman 2,\u201d which exists outside of Gunn\u2019s new DC Universe.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSuperman\u201d is now playing in theaters from Warner Bros. <\/p>\n
