SAN BRUNO, Calif. \u2013\u00a0For the third time this season, Pepperdine swept this week’s West Coast Conference women’s tennis player of the week awards with Alexia Harmon winning West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week, Duru Soke and Shihomi Leong claiming Doubles Team of the Week honors and Sonja Zhiyenbayeva winning West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week.\u00a0 \u00a0

\nWEST COAST CONFERENCE SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK \u2013 ALEXIA HARMON, SO. \u2013 PEPPERDINE
\nAlexia\u00a0Harmon earned a pair of singles wins on the week against No. 8 UCLA and No. 6 USC, and her win against USC clinched the team victory for the Waves over a top-10 opponent. This is Harmon’s first conference weekly award and she is the third Wave to win conference player of the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nThe Waves pair earned two doubles victories against No. 8 UCLA and No. 6 USC, clinching the doubles point in each match and the Waves went on to take down the Trojans. This is the third time Pepperdine has won conference doubles pair of the week, and it is this tandem’s first award this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
