DEBARY, Fla. (February 24, 2026)\u00a0\u2013 Junior Ava Schwartz<\/a> carded a three-over-par 75 in the final round of the 2026 Babs Steffens Invitational on Tuesday, leading the University of North Alabama women’s golf team with a 20th place finish in DeBary, Fla.<\/p>\n The Lions finished ninth overall in a field of 16 teams, combining for 89-over-par 941.<\/p>\n UNA was one stroke back of Drake for the top half of the field but had a four-stroke lead on Palm Beach State College and a five-stroke lead on in-state rival Troy. UNA also led Southern Illinois, Bryant, Southern Utah, Mount Mercy and Le Moyne.<\/p>\n Schwartz had a final card of 76+80+75 to finish 18-over-par 231. She led the round with three birdies, including both holes on the 9-10 turn. She also birdied the par-three on Hole 18. Just three strokes behind her for the tournament was redshirt junior Kerigan Klauber<\/a> at 21-over to finish in a tie for 30th.<\/p>\n Sophomores Olivia Whittle<\/a> and Sirichaya Chanpen<\/a> finished +27 and +28, respectively, to crack the top 50. Rounding out the lineup was freshman Kiersten Riggins<\/a> with a +34 in her spring college debut.<\/p>\n Fellow Atlantic Sun Conference member Stetson won its home tournament at 15-over-par 867, followed by Appalachian State, Keiser, UNC Asheville, West Georgia, Georgia State and Seminole State. The Hatters were 10 strokes ahead of App State.<\/p>\n App State’s Zoe Duval won the tournament at seven-under, beating Stetson’s Isaki Sakashita by five strokes.
