Winnipeg police say one person was taken to hospital following a serious motor vehicle collision on the Fermor Road\/Perimeter Highway overpass bridge.<\/p>\n
WPS says officers responded to the overpass just after 8 a.m. on Feb. 24, after receiving a report of a collision.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, they learned that a Ford F350 truck with an attached trailer was travelling southbound on the Perimeter Highway when the trailer jack-knifed, resulting in a collision with a Dodge Ram. As a result of this, the F350 crashed into the guardrail on the bridge and dangled off the side of the bridge.<\/p>\n
WPS were aided by RCMP, Springfield Fire and Rescue, and the WFPS and were able to successfully and safely get one person out of the Ford F350.<\/p>\n
Police say no injuries were reported, but the driver of the F350 was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.<\/p>\n
