{"id":497783,"date":"2026-02-25T04:17:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T04:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/497783\/"},"modified":"2026-02-25T04:17:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T04:17:08","slug":"atlanta-hawks-all-star-jalen-johnson-leaves-in-win-over-washington-wizards-with-hip-flexor-injury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/497783\/","title":{"rendered":"Atlanta Hawks all-star Jalen Johnson leaves in win over Washington Wizards with hip flexor injury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">ATLANTA (AP) \u2014 Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson left the game against the Washington Wizards with a left hip flexor injury Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Johnson was injured in the first quarter and ruled out after being evaluated by the training staff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThere was enough there not to send him back in the game,\u201d coach Quin Snyder said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Johnson, who earned his first All-Star Game berth this season, will be re-evaluated before the Hawks face the Wizards again Thursday to complete back-to-back games in Atlanta. It\u2019s not known if he will miss any additional playing time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Johnson finished with five points, three rebounds and two steals in about 5 1\/2 minutes against the Wizards. He came into the night averaging 23.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.1 assists.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">His absence cleared the way for Jonathan Kuminga to score a season-high 27 points in his Hawks debut.
