Brittney Griner<\/a> remains one of the most accomplished veterans in women\u2019s basketball. A 12\u2011season WNBA<\/a> star and champion, she has been a dominant force in the paint for much of her career, winning a title with the Phoenix Mercury. Griner has earned 10 All-Star selections and is a two-time Defensive Player of the Year. She has also represented the U.S. internationally, winning three Olympic gold medals.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Grinner joined the Atlanta Dream on a one-year deal. She averaged 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 39 games, and helped her team finish with the league\u2019s third best record, earning a playoff berth.<\/p>\n

This offseason, Griner has continued competing in Unrivaled, the high-level 3\u00d73 women\u2019s basketball league featuring top talent. Playing for Vinyl BC, she helped the team secure a playoff berth after defeating the Lunar Owls 75\u201168 on Monday. Griner complemented Rae Burrell\u2019s 30-point performance with 12 points, while converting six of her nine shots from the field.<\/p>\n

Following the win, Griner took to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate the team\u2019s achievements. She posted photos and clips from the game set to the Beastie Boys\u2019 \u201cNo Sleep Till Brooklyn,\u201d garnering congratulatory messages from fans and her colleagues.<\/p>\n

Among the responses was Chicago Sky<\/a> forward Angel Reese<\/a>, whose team Rose BC also clinched a playoff spot on Sunday. Reese playfully commented on Griner\u2019s music choice: \u201cstop I\u2019m stealing this song lmfaoo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reese, who won the Defensive Player Award in last year\u2019s tournament, announced her return to Unrivaled and has since played two games, including Sunday\u2019s playoff-clinching win against the Laces.<\/p>\n

The six qualifying teams \u2014 The Phantom, Laces, Mist, Breeze, Vinyl, and Rose \u2014 will now compete for seeding as the regular season concludes.<\/p>\n
