\n\tLate-night hosts had a field day with Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s lengthy, fear-mongering<\/a> State of the Union<\/a> address. The rambling speech saw the president speaking to lawmakers for 108\u00a0minutes on Tuesday, breaking the record he set last year for the longest speech ever delivered to Congress.<\/p>\n

\n\tJimmy Kimmel<\/a> Live and The Late Show both ran special episodes to respond to Trump\u2019s address, with Jimmy Kimmel declaring, \u201cWhat a speech it wasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe theme of tonight\u2019s speech was all foreigners are murderers,\u201d Kimmel recounted. \u201cAnd Trump said zero illegal aliens have been allowed into the United States on his watch, but the door is always open to those who come in legally to be his next wife. So that\u2019s something. He bragged about DEI. He bragged about kicking two million people off food stamps. It was like a Christmas message from the Grinch.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen you ramble incoherently for two hours is that technically still a speech or does it at some point become a conniption fit?\u201d Kimmel wondered, adding, \u201cThe speech went on so long Kristi Noem<\/a>\u2018s dog shot itself.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAfter playing a few clips from the address, Kimmel offered his own take on the current state of the country. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHere\u2019s the real State of the Union<\/a>,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cWe have a nut job wannabe king who\u2019s doing everything he can to censor opinions he doesn\u2019t want to hear. He has his goons arresting, incarcerating, and killing American citizens. He\u2019s cut funding for cancer research at children\u2019s hospitals while he rakes in literally billions of dollars for himself and his family. He\u2019s coming after our right to vote. He\u2019s protecting pedophiles and won\u2019t explain it. He\u2019s lining the pockets of billionaires, all while neglecting the sick, the poor, and the hungry in the name of Jesus by the way.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn The Late Show, Stephen Colbert<\/a> delivered a live monologue following the speech, joking that he \u201cdropped an edible and strapped in\u201d to watch. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAccording to Trump\u2019s team the official theme of the speech was \u2018America at 250: Strong, Prosperous, and Respected,’\u201d Colbert explained. \u201cThough if you have to say you\u2019re strong, prosperous, and respected it kind of feels like you\u2019re not.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tColbert noted that Trump arrived at the address \u201clooking a little tired, but his hair was nice and fluffy.\u201d \u201cPersonally, I think he could have kept his head in the cotton candy machine a little bit longer,\u201d the host said. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJimmy Fallon<\/a> briefly commented on the State of the Union on The Tonight Show, noting that Trump\u2019s speech focused on \u201chis major accomplishments.\u201d \u201cAnd when those eight seconds were up he just riffed for an hour and a half,\u201d Fallon quipped. <\/p>\n
