The latest possible measles exposure sites in Manitoba\u2019s ongoing outbreak of the illness include two at Winnipeg\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital on the weekend, the province said Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Those exposures at the Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg Children\u2019s Hospital on Saturday happened from 7:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. in the emergency department waiting room, and from 9:45 p.m. to 3:05 a.m. in the emergency department itself, a news release said.<\/p>\n
There was also an exposure at the Access Event Centre \u2014 Co-op Arena in Morden, Man., on Feb. 19 last week from 9:30 p.m. to Feb. 20 at midnight, the release said.<\/p>\n
Manitoba public health is asking anyone who was at those locations at those times to check their immunization records and ensure they\u2019re up to date with the measles vaccine.<\/p>\n
Anyone not immunized against measles who may have been exposed may be eligible for preventative treatment within six days of exposure, and are encouraged to speak with a health-care provider, the province said.<\/p>\n
The province announced earlier this month it will only release measles exposure notifications in cases where the exposure happened in the past six days.<\/p>\n
