A Calgary man is facing a dozen charges after police pulled over a speeding vehicle and discovered nearly 430 grams of drugs along with multiple weapons and cash.<\/p>\n
According to police, officers spotted a vehicle speeding on northbound Macleod Trail near Heritage Drive SE on Jan. 31.<\/p>\n
After stopping the vehicle, officers performed sobriety tests and determined the driver appeared to be impaired by drugs.<\/p>\n
The man was arrested, and officers seized:<\/p>\n
425 grams of methamphetamine (approximate street value $3,035)<\/p>\n
2.5 grams of fentanyl (approximate street value $220)<\/p>\n
2.3 grams of cocaine (approximate street value $250)<\/p>\n
Brass knuckles<\/p>\n
Bear spray<\/p>\n
Approximately $3,700 in cash<\/p>\n
Police have charged 46\u2011year\u2011old Kevin Douglas Dalton with several drug and weapons offences. He also faces charges of impaired driving, speeding, operating a vehicle without a licence, and possession of more than one identification.<\/p>\n
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.<\/p>\n
