First-degree murder charges were laid against Yves Brisebois, 70, in connection with the case.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency responders were called to Rideau Street and Colonel By Drive at 5:35 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this or any other homicide is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The man who was stabbed to death<a href=\"https:\/\/ottawa.citynews.ca\/2026\/02\/12\/two-in-custody-after-fatal-shooting-in-manotick\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ottawa.citynews.ca\/2026\/02\/12\/two-in-custody-after-fatal-shooting-in-manotick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">is the city\u2019s fourth murder of the year<\/a>, and third fatal stabbing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Posted Feb 25, 2026 03:59:30 PM.
