{"id":500898,"date":"2026-02-26T13:51:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T13:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/500898\/"},"modified":"2026-02-26T13:51:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T13:51:08","slug":"police-identify-man-in-50s-killed-in-ne-calgary-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/500898\/","title":{"rendered":"Police identify man in 50s killed in NE Calgary assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Calgary police have identified the victim of <a href=\"https:\/\/calgary.citynews.ca\/2026\/02\/14\/calgary-police-2nd-degree-murder-ne-suspicious-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">a fatal assault<\/a> in the northeast community of Rundle earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were called to a home on Rundlecairn Road NE at around 6:20 a.m. on Feb. 13 for reports of an assault. <\/p>\n<p>When they arrived, they found a man in his 50s suffering from life\u2011threatening injuries.
