Tyler Myers\u2019 time with the Vancouver Canucks certainly appears to be over.<\/a><\/p>\n

That much was apparent after the Canucks sat him out for \u201croster-related reasons\u201d on Wednesday. His days seem to be numbered based on what his head coach and teammates said about him<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The question now is, where will he be traded, and what will the return be?<\/p>\n

Well, what we learned on Thursday is that it appears as though the Detroit Red Wings are the most interested suitor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a deal that the Canucks like on the table from the Detroit Red Wings, NHL insider Chris Johnston said on TSN\u2019s Insider Trading<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That news was also reported by TSN\u2019s Darren Dreger, who added that the Dallas Stars are also interested in trading for Myers. CHEK\u2019s Rick Dhaliwal also reported<\/a> that the Anaheim Ducks are in the mix.<\/p>\n

Tyler Myers continues to consider a trade option. It\u2019s believed Detroit is the target. Other teams have expressed interest, including Dallas. Likely why Myers is taking his time in allowing the process to develop.<\/p>\n

There is no team in the league with more projected salary cap space than the Red Wings, who currently have $12.97 million of room to work with, according to PuckPedia.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re also hungry to end a playoff drought that has spanned nine seasons. Detroit currently holds down the first Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n

Of course, there\u2019s also a history of deals between Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman and the current Canucks management.<\/p>\n

It was almost three years to the day now that the Red Wings traded Filip Hronek to the Canucks.<\/p>\n

Given he has a full no-movement clause, Myers holds all the cards, which is why he hasn\u2019t been dealt yet.<\/p>\n

And if the Stars are truly involved, you can see why Myers would be hesitant to waive.<\/p>\n

While Detroit is trying to bust the NHL\u2019s second-longest playoff drought, the Stars are firmly in Stanley Cup contention. Myers\u2019 mom, Tonja, resides in Houston, Texas, which is about a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Dallas.<\/p>\n

Other reporters have also suggested that the Colorado Avalanche could be interested as well. Once again, if they\u2019re involved, they would theoretically give Myers his best chance at winning a Stanley Cup.<\/p>\n
