The hit F1 documentary series that has so far been exclusive to Netflix, but the new season will debut on both streaming services on Friday. What Netflix gets is a live sporting event that doesn\u2019t include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/11\/19\/24300814\/netflix-jake-paul-mike-tyson-most-streamed-sporting-event\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jake Paul<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/sports\/mayweather-pacquiao-boxing-netflix-8c128a28\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">two geriatric boxers<\/a>, as it will get to livestream the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix weekend from May 22nd to 24th to its US subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">F1 races used to air on ESPN, but in an <a href=\"https:\/\/racer.com\/2026\/02\/23\/apple-s-f1-broadcast-reach-will-be-bigger-than-espn-s---domenicali\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">interview with Racer<\/a>, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali says that the reach the sport gets through Apple \u201cwill be even bigger in the future and it is what we want to test in a market that is more mature than the others.\u201d Apple also has the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie, which was nominated for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oscars.org\/oscars\/ceremonies\/2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Best Picture Oscar<\/a> and is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c8jx7kvm4leo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">apparently getting a sequel<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Apple TV and Netflix will both stream the eighth season of F1: Drive to Survive.
