{"id":503279,"date":"2026-02-27T15:18:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T15:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/503279\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T15:18:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T15:18:11","slug":"wilds-quinn-hughes-to-appear-on-saturday-night-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/503279\/","title":{"rendered":"Wild&#8217;s Quinn Hughes to appear on Saturday Night Live"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/players\/quinn-hughes\/bbc4fe2b-f685-47e8-ae58-8ca29ff706e6\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"bbc4fe2b-f685-47e8-ae58-8ca29ff706e6\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Quinn Hughes<\/a> post-gold-medal press tour is getting a massive spot this weekend. <\/p>\n<p>Following his Olympic win with Team USA, the blueliner is set to make an appearance on Saturday Night Live and Jimmy Fallon on Monday, as <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/confusedhockey\/status\/2027201639019364508\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced<\/a> on Thursday night&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/teams\/minnesota-wild\/\" class=\"sn-team-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-team=\"minnesota-wild\" data-league=\"nhl\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Minnesota Wild<\/a> broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Hughes will make his appearance alongside guest host Connor Storrie, one of the stars of &#8216;Heated Rivalry,&#8217; a breakout Canadian sports romance show centred around hockey. <\/p>\n<p>Athletes appearing on the late-night comedy show is nothing new. Superstars like Michael Phelps, LeBron James, Tom Brady, and even Wayne Gretzky in 1989 have gotten star roles on the weekly series. <\/p>\n<p>The last athlete to host the show was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>While his role in Saturday&#8217;s episode is still unknown, he&#8217;s unlikely to have a starring role as those previous hosts had \u2014 considering the lack of prep time while Hughes is busy playing hockey \u2014 and instead may just make a cameo in a skit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Quinn Hughes post-gold-medal press tour is getting a massive spot this weekend.
