The Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a> had one of the most exciting players in Major League Baseball make their debut a few years ago when Paul Skenes took the league by storm.<\/p>\n

He’s off to an incredible start to his career, and if he keeps this up for a while, he’s surely on track to be a Hall of Famer. But Skenes might not be the only young Pirates superstar on his way to the Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Jeff Passan<\/a> shared that Konnor Griffin revealed his lofty career goal of reaching the Hall of Fame. He’s not even made his MLB debut yet, and he’s already got his sights set on being one of the best ever.<\/p>\n

“I always tell people my goal is to be in the Hall of Fame,” Griffin said, “and if I can make the Hall of Fame, then I’ll sit back and be happy and be complacent. But right now, I’m just trying to grow.”<\/p>\n

Griffin was the ninth overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft by the Pirates, and he’s played in just one minor league season. But that one season was very encouraging.<\/p>\n

He had a .333 batting average, .942 OPS, 161 hits, 117 runs, 23 doubles, four triples, 21 home runs, 94 RBIs, 50 walks, and 65 stolen bases in his 122-game debut in professional baseball.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old is the top prospect in baseball, and he’s already got his sights set on the Hall of Fame. Cooperstown is a ways away for Griffin, but if he reaches his sky-high potential, he could be on his way to the Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

So far this Spring Training, in four games, Griffin has two home runs, both coming against the Boston Red Sox<\/a>. One of which came off Ranger Suarez, one of the top pitchers in Major League Baseball.<\/p>\n

Griffin has already shown plenty of potential; he just needs to make the Major League roster in 2026 to begin what he believes can be a Hall of Fame career.<\/p>\n

It’s a lofty goal, but Griffin has the tools to make it a reality. So much needs to happen for Griffin to join Hall of Fame consideration, but if there were a player who’s yet to make their MLB debut to back up such a claim, it would be Griffin.<\/p>\n
