In a rare collab between streaming rivals, Apple TV and Netflix have teamed up to share exclusive Formula 1 content, and it includes a historic live broadcast of the Canadian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>Starting this 2026 season, Apple TV is officially taking over as the exclusive home for all live Formula 1 broadcasts in the US. However, to help promote the sport and reach a wider audience, Apple has struck a unique reciprocal agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iphoneincanada.ca\/2026\/02\/26\/netflix-dumps-warner-bros-after-paramount-sweetens-111-billion-bid\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Netflix.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As part of the deal, Netflix will broadcast the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix live to its US subscribers from May 22 to May 24. This marks a major milestone, as it will be the very first time Netflix has streamed a live Formula 1 race on its platform, allowing fans to watch their favourite drivers compete in real time.<\/p>\n<p>In exchange, Apple TV gets to host the brand new eighth season of the hit documentary series Drive to Survive. The latest season, which covers the intense drama and rookie shakeups of the 2025 championship, is available to stream right now on both Netflix globally and Apple TV in the US.<\/p>\n<p>Drive to Survive is widely credited with skyrocketing the popularity of Formula 1 across North America. By bringing the documentary directly into the Apple TV app, the tech giant is hoping to seamlessly bridge the gap between casual fans of the show and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/tudum\/articles\/formula-1-apple-netflix-drive-to-survive\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dedicated<\/a> viewers of the live race weekends.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you\u2019re probably wondering if you can stream the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix on Apple TV and Netflix in Canada. The answer is no, because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iphoneincanada.ca\/2026\/02\/05\/bell-media-cuts-60-more-jobs-union-warns-of-crisis-in-newsrooms\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bell Media<\/a> holds the streaming and broadcast rights for the Formula 1 season. That means you can only watch on channels like TSN and RDS.
