Mexico was second with 460.85 points.<\/p>\n<p>The bronze medal was special for Vall\u00e9e and Fung, who both missed qualifying for the final in their respective individual events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a bit of a redemption for me,\u201d Vall\u00e9e said. \u201cI was excited to get a second chance and prove that I was capable of doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Canadians Carson Paul and Nathan Zsombor-Murray were third and ninth, respectively, to qualify for the final of the men\u2019s three-metre springboard event.<\/p>\n<p>Paul amassed 449.65 points to finish behind Wang Zongyuan (514.70) and Zheng Jiuyuan (455.70), both from China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was my big goal to go to this event and give some good dives to give me a chance to dive again this weekend,\u201d said Paul. \u201cI feel good, I\u2019m happy with my performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll try to reproduce it Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zsombor-Murray had 418.25 points.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s Kate Miller qualified for the women\u2019s 10-metre final, finishing ninth in the qualification round with 301.00 points.
