\n\tIt was so, so disappointing for Radiohead to learn that its song \u201cLet Down\u201d was used in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement video and posted to the agency\u2019s X account on Feb. 18.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe demand that the amateurs in control of the ICE social media account take it down,\u201d the band said in a statement shared with Billboard on Friday (Feb. 27). \u201cIt ain\u2019t funny, this song means a lot to us and other people, and you don\u2019t get to appropriate it without a fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe English rock band concluded its message with a blunt, \u201cAlso, go f\u2013k yourselves \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard has reached out to the Dept. of Homeland Security for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ICE video the three-time Grammy-winning band took issue with starts off with a black screen as the third verse of \u201cLet Down\u201d from 1997\u2019s OK Computer plays, while one by one, images of Americans appear. ICE captioned the video, \u201cAmerican citizens raped and murdered by those who have no right to be in our country. This is who we fight for. This is our why.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLet Down\u201d made its Billboard Hot 100 debut 28 years after<\/a> its release. The track arrived at No. 1 on the tally dated Aug. 30, 2025, and was the band\u2019s fourth to land on the chart. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe agency has faced intense scrutiny and protest for its violent tactics as it follows President Donald Trump\u2019s directive to remove undocumented immigrants from the United States. During its operations in Minneapolis in January, ICE agents fatally shot two U.S. citizens: Renee Good, who was attempting to peacefully drive away from agents; and Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse working at a VA hospital who was attempting to help a woman who had been knocked down.<\/p>\n

\n\tMultiple artists have spoken out against ICE\u2019s actions. Among them are Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber, Chappell Roan, Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine\u2019s Tom Morello and Kehlani. After the deaths of Pretti and Good, Morello held a benefit concert<\/a> in Minneapolis to not only support their families, but also to protest against Trump\u2019s immigration policies and defend \u201cdemocracy and justice,\u201d he said in a statement. The Boss \u2014 who has been an outspoken critic of the president \u2014 also dropped a new anti-ICE song titled \u201cStreets of Minneapolis\u201d in January, and in February, announced the Land of Hope and Dreams tour \u201cin defense of America<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
