{"id":506392,"date":"2026-03-01T01:32:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-01T01:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/506392\/"},"modified":"2026-03-01T01:32:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-01T01:32:07","slug":"daniil-medvedev-takes-dubai-title-after-tallon-griekspoor-withdraws-injured-from-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/506392\/","title":{"rendered":"Daniil Medvedev takes Dubai title after Tallon Griekspoor withdraws injured from final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) \u2014 Daniil Medvedev won his 23rd ATP singles title at the Dubai Championships when Tallon Griekspoor withdrew from the final injured on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Griekspoor hurt his left hamstring on Friday against Andrey Rublev and won their two-sets semifinal but couldn\u2019t recover in time for the final.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI have been better that\u2019s for sure,\u201d the Dutchman said at the trophy ceremony. \u201cI went to the hospital this morning and had a couple of scans, which showed something serious. It kept me from coming on court tonight and will keep me from the court in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Medvedev won his second title of the year after Brisbane in January. It was also his second Dubai title after victory in 2023.
