There have been a lot of trade rumors swirling as the NHL’s March 6 trade deadline approaches.<\/p>\n
Has there been a single one about Adam Henrique? He certainly hasn’t featured prominently.<\/p>\n
That’s what made Saturday’s news so amusing.<\/p>\n
This is what TSN’s Darren Dreger posted<\/a> on X:<\/p>\n “Adam Henrique doesn\u2019t want to go anywhere and hasn\u2019t told the Oilers he\u2019s willing to waive trade protection. Apparently Henrique doesn’t want to leave Edmonton.<\/p>\n If there were rumors that he did, they were quite under the radar. Henrique hasn’t seemed to be involved in any serious chatter.<\/p>\n Really, at this point, that makes sense.<\/p>\n Henrique is 36 years old. In 45 games this season, he has just two goals and eight assists.<\/p>\n MORE:\u00a0Sidney Crosby breaks silence on injury, Olympics and rest of Penguins’ season<\/a><\/p>\n This is Henrique’s second full season, and third portion of a season, with the Oilers.<\/p>\n He began his career with nearly eight seasons with the New Jersey Devils<\/a>, then spent another with the Anaheim Ducks<\/a>.<\/p>\n Henrique used to be a decent scorer, but it has fallen off.
