King Green knows what he wants after pulling off a significant upset win at UFC Fight Night 268<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Green\u00a0(34-17-1 MMA, 15-12-1 UFC)\u00a0was nearly\u00a0a 4-1 betting underdog going into his lightweight bout with Daniel Zellhuber (15-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) on Saturday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. He didn’t follow the script of the odds, however, and completely dominated his opponent en route to a second-round TKO<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was one of the best performances of Green’s long and storied career, and now he’s ready to speak up about what he wants next. The veteran is not typically one to ask for specific names, but in this instance, he wants a spot at the UFC White House event June 14, and sees three-time\u00a0former Bellator champion Michael Chandler as an opponent who would fit perfectly for that scenario.<\/p>\n

“I don’t really call people out, but if I was to call somebody out, I would say Michael Chandler in the White House,” Green told Charly Arnolt on the UFC Fight Night 268 post-fight show. “Two great Americans. American badass kickin’.”<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if Green’s wish will be granted, because Chandler (23-10 MMA, 2-5 UFC) is also eager to fight<\/a> at UFC White House. For now, though, he is revelling in the glory of a thrilling victory, which he somehow did not receive a Performance of the Night bonus for.<\/p>\n

Many wrote Green off after a 1-3 stretch that included brutal stoppage losses to Mauricio Ruffy, Paddy Pimblett and Jalin Turner. He’s back on track with two wins in 10 weeks against Zellhuber and Lance Gibson Jr., though, and said that should be a reminder he’s still very capable<\/p>\n

“This is what I do \u2013 I’m a professional,” Green said. “I get the work done. I’m 39. They say I’m getting old, but I make it look easy.”<\/p>\n
